  I absolutely adore this place. REAL BAGELS!!! Coming from the west coast this place was a godsend when I arrived in Southfield. I've had to learn to not ask for them toasted, like a real bagel eater. The staff is super nice and everything is made the old school way, no preservatives, no funky stuff. The only downside is the styrofoam coffee cups are both bad for the environment and cool off really quickly, so definitely bring your own mug. A medium coffee and a bagel with cream cheese is a mere $3.50 - cheaper than any of the chain stores offerings and a thousand times better.

  Great place with great bagels! Old style where the workers actually know you and engage in a conversation (if you want to). Fast service with a smile every time!!

  Going back to Einstein's, Bruegger's, or Elaine's in Berkley. I made the mistake of getting a dozen bagels from this location and they were VERY HARD and dried out. I put them in a ziploc when I got home too. They were terrible. They're bagels, how difficult can it be?

  They have great bagels - the kind I remember eating when I was a kid and the kind I remember buying in New York. Soft, yet with a crunchy outer layer.
  
  Plus, usually when I go in and order one bagel they always throw in an extra one. I don't need an extra one so I always give it away but it's a nice touch.
