  McVee's is an off the map type of joint. Nestled between some other local businesses, it might be a little hard to spot. I've only been here a few times, but every time I am well served. They have a special on Wednesdays to get a burger and fries for 6$. The burger, although simple, is really tasty. I was given free popcorn as I waited for my meal, and the service is A-1. By the way, if you want strong, good, mixed drinks that aren't watered down, come to McVee's.

  Fun environment, food was good. I ordered the chef special. It was supposed to come with chicken but it didn't. The waitress more than made up for it by getting me an entire plate of chicken lol. Sharnell (the waitress) was the best part of the visit. Friendly, funny, and attentive. She didn't forget a thing. She was nice to every person who came in. Pretty good for my first meal on my first visit to Detroit.
